WTS 1 - Redmond, Carnation, Union Hill, Redmond, 1/9/10


This is the first of this year's 7 Winter Training Series Rides hosted jointly by CBC and the Seattle Randonneurs.  This ride starts at Sammamish Valley Cycle in Redmond and goes down the E. Lake Sammamish Parkway to Thompson Hill, over to Beaver Lake, down to Carnation where we will take a break at Sandy’s Espresso and then return over Union Hill to Redmond for some hot cider and cookies at Sammamish Valley Cycle.

 When: Saturday January 9, 2010

Time: Sign-in begins at 8:30am. 
            Ride announcements at 8:50am
            The peloton rolls at 9:00am sharp.

Distance: 36 miles

 Where: Sammamish Valley Cycle (corner of 85th St and 164th Ave )
              8451 164th Ave NE
              Redmond, WA 98052

Directions to Start: At the east end of SR520, take the Redmond-Fall City Road/SR202
                                   Turn left onto SR202/Redmond Fall City Road/Redmond Way.
                                    Right on 164th Ave NE.
                                    The shop is at the corner of 85th Ave and 164th Ave.
                                    Please park at the Park and Ride at 83rd St and 161st Ave (2 blocks
                                    south, 2 blocks west), or QFC/Starbucks/Bella Bottega at 87th St and
                                    161st Ave (2 blocks north, 2 blocks west) - there isn't much
                                    parking available at the shop itself.
